The Role of the Infusion Therapy Nurse

American Outcomes Management (AOM) provides home nursing services for all of our in-home infusion therapy treatments. All of our nurses are specially trained in infusion therapy including the administration of IVIG and every infusion therapy nurse has a proven clinical track record. Our infusion therapy nurses are PICC and IV Certified.

AOM regularly monitors the outcomes of infusion nursing care to assure that the performance of our home nursing services meets or surpasses your expectations. Our infusion therapy nurses continue to exceed all of their patient care and clinical practice goals.

AOM has established a national network of credentialed agencies providing home nursing services with a presence in all 50 states.

AOM's Home Nursing Services Include:

• Patient assessment and nutrition screening
• Comprehensive patient education
• Placement and management of intravenous catheters (peripheral, midline and PICC)
• Skilled home nursing services such as administration of medications, catheter site care, patient education, blood specimen collection, etc.
• Communication with the other members of the healthcare team regarding identified care needs and response to therapy.
